The Commanders Place, one of two historic houses on the Nevel's Place property, is located in historic Fredericksburg. This property is comprised of eleven acres just a few short blocks from the shopping, history, and museums of downtown Fredericksburg. This old-style German rock house is one of the oldest homes in Fredericksburg. Built in 1855 by one of the earliest settlers of the Texas Hill Country area, this Guesthouse Bed and Breakfast boasts a romantic fireplace, private kitchen, living area with a hand-made Queen-size bed and an antique single bed in the adjacent sitting room. Additional amenities include central heat and air, large walk in shower, microwave and a self-catered breakfast including pastries from our own local German Bakeries for you to enjoy at your leisure.
